You will find most 'mainstream' vets are anti-raw. The risk is there, but it's minimal. I know of animals that
have gotten parasitic organisms from eating 'premium' quality commercial foods. So it's just a matter of deciding
what risk is the lesser of two evils.
Normal, healthy cats are designed to kill, eat and digest raw meat. They are able to handle normal amounts of
organsims and bacteria found in raw meat.
I wish someone would do a long term, scientific study on all the diseases caused or strongly contributed to by
life time feeding of commercial foods that contain known carciniogens and other toxins, poor quality meats and
totally inappropriate ingredients.
