I made a small contribution to the Montreal Rescue that has Henry and the following is their reply.

He is now eating on his own and enjoying the touch of a human hand on his body for the first time in a very long time. Its difficult to pet him as he is just skin and bones but he is purring up a storm and loves the attention. Now he can lie down as well as eat! He still has no muscle tone but actually moved more than a few feet this weekend in his new foster home!

Smile today!!... you have made a difference in his life!!

I sent a contribution as well and got the same thank-you note. although I did not open the photo thinking it was the one I had seen already. That is really classy of them to send that thank-you. It sounds like little Henry is making progress and it is good to know he is being fostered for now. That way he will get more one-on-one attention. My two were so matted they could not move either, but were not in such a terrible shape.

That's Anne-Marie, my groomer. I thought she was on vacation! She volunteers at that rescue to groom the new cats and those who have been there a while and need a sprucing up. She is very good with the cats.

People who volunteer to help those in need and less fortunate, including animals, have to be very special people. You can tell by the look on Anne-Marie's face that she is one of those special people.

I know I'm really late posting this, but how did you guys help out? I'd love to do the same.

I just realized who Henry the cat is! On the website for Animal Adoption Montreal (the folks who took on Henry and where I met Humphie and Bogey) they announced that Henry has found his forever home near Toronto, ON and that he already has his own facebook page. Sounds like the little guy finally found some good luck.

There's a sweet Himmie-Birman mix who has blisters all over her body and they don't know why. Little Blossom is getting medication, but they need to find out why she is covered with blisters and that requires extra funds.
