Hi! My name is Linda Price and I am wanting to adopt a kitty or a cat. Jerry and I are both retired now so we have the time to Love and Care for a furbaby. We now live in Thayer, Missouri and the airport here is a long ways away from where we live. We are open to suggestions. For those of you who remember, I was the proud owner of 15 year old General Sherman who died of old age and Jerry was the proud owner of Smokey Ann who got lost when we moved here. Now our hearts are ready to love again. This will not be a show cat but a beloved pet. If anyone knows of a kitty that needs a home, email me here at Persiancat or Facebook. Thanks for your help. Hang In There! Linda (Babygirl)

I am assuming that because you live far from the airport, you don't want to have a cat flown to you?

Hi Tracy! That would be a problem. We have been talking to BrandyAnne who lives in Missouri too. Brandy has introduced us to a breeder and we have been talking to her. She is keeping her eyes peeled. Brandy is too. This breeder and Brandy both said they would deliver a cat to us by car once we make a decision what we want. So I am waiting on what they come up with. At least things are looking up!! Hang in there! Linda (Babygirl)

If you haven't found a kitty yet, be sure to check Petfinder.com under Persian or Himalayan breed. Three are hundreds in shelters, probably some near your home. Unbelievable how many persians are now on Petfinder.com.

I live in MO and just adopted Gizmo from a rescue in Marshall. I don't recognize where you are but the rescue still has his brother Gus. They are both red and three years old. The rescue is Saline Animal League. I have also seen a couple on craigslist.

CFA has retired cats listed. Many catteries have retired cats for cost of altering. There are two totally different listings operated by different owners. The first one has the retired listings and catteries the second has just catteries. Find one in a location near you. The Atlantic Himalayan Club has a listing. If you contact a cattery they may know of another breeder that has retired kitties. These are Himalayan listing but you can also go to the Persian listings.

Hope you find the perfect kitty for you. I am a Himalayan breeder but in Canada. Deb
