That's Winston! He's begging for more raw food following me into the kitchen every time I go in there and ignoring his kibble completely! I'm amazed at this little guy and how fast he gobbles this food down (give 1 oz per feeding and up to 3oz/day). I'm trying to stay at 2.5 to 3 ozs because I'm afraid I'm going to overload him on raw food though it seems he can't get his fill. Is it normal in CRF cats to have a really increased appetite like they're in starvation mode? He's not vomiting and so far stools are solid. He must be drinking more water as he's urinating larger volumes tho not more frequently. He's not had fluids sub q since end of last week.

Alaska doesn't want the raw food. She's still into her stinky wet senior friskies food. She also begs for more food than I know she can handle as she'll start vomiting if I give her as much wet food as she wants to eat.

More for Winston to gobble up! BTW he woke me up this morning at 4a.m. meowing incessantly for his raw food and I had forgotten to take it out of the freezer the night before. I gave him some of the Hills w/d wet food and he looked at it and then at me as if to say "why u giving me this junk wherz my yummy raw stuff?"

I'm so happy my little guy is eating so well and everything seems ok for right now!

Most cats when switched to raw will go through a "food inhalation" period.
Most cats with CRF act as if they are starving.

You get the best of both. ;)

Really I don't know how much this little guy can eat?! He's skin and bones tho just slurps this raw food up! I went and bought an 8oz container of the raw Turkey yesterday and 16 oz of the Chicken. I'm wondering about trying the lamb out for him and Alaska.

Alaska has the yucky poos again. I was just admiring her tiny body thinking she looks so good for her age and her IBD episodes and her appetite has been on the increase too tho she doesn't want to eat the raw food. I'll have to keep trying!

Meanwhile Winston is going to force me out of retirement and back to work to support his new "habit!"
