Well, things are worse than ever!

Now he is getting poo on himself when he uses the box...I had to cut of his pantaloons just now.

I am beyond knowing what the heck is up. I will have to go to a new vet if I can't get him straight soon. I just hate going to someone new. If I go to my vet I will get teased!

I even dumped all his litter, put new in and not as much, thinking that I had too much in. No dice. I am sure that Zeke hates me abominably right now. My mom cut him trying to help me cut his pantaloons. What should I do about it?

First of all if the vet teases you for being a concerned owner I would suggest finding a new vet! They are supposed to be focused on taking care of the animals health and you certainly know better than they do when your pet isn't right. The vet only sees them, in a very stressful situation for a few minutes, you live with the cat. Secondly, it really sounds like an age related problem - but get him checked just for peace of mind. My Poppy poo'd on herself until it nearly drove me crazy when she was less than a year old.

Winston is 15 and pees super huge amounts but is very skinny and didn't get it on his legs but the poop was another story (was loose to diarrhea often before starting raw food)~ that he got all over his feet, back end, tail (which he doesn't lift much anymore) and so forth so I had t have him shaved (which I do about 3x/year anyway).

I think your Vet should be glad that you're as consciencious as you are re bringing Zeke in when you think somethings wrong and I'd just take him in to be checked again and not worry about what he says.. I used to be called a hypochon too re Alaska after her father had feline leukemia I worried about everything w/her. Still he has been my cats Vet for 16 years. Or take Zeke to someone new if you feel strongly about what the Vet says. Either way I'd rather err on the side of caution.

Also do you have a jumbo box? I found that helped Winston as he was having trouble going in the smaller more attractive enclosed litter box I had in the bathroom. Not that it would take care of the problems just might help give Zeke more room. It did help Winston not to hang his bumm over the edge of box and land poops on the floor.

Let us know what the vet says.
I think you should just take him back, who cares what the vet thinks. I am sure he/she is just glad of the business.
Sorry for your troubles my dear. I hope Zeke is back in tip top shape soon.

That's what I was thinking :?

I am sure that its frustrating - and worrisome...not knowing what is going on :flower:.
I think it will be easier if you call different vets and give them a little interview on the phone....
that way you can narrow down who to go to and maybe they won't seem so "new" when you get there.
