There has been a huge earthquake in Christchurch this weekend. It rated 7.1 on the richter scale, even right now there are still heaps of after shocks happening and they expect that to last weeks. Thankfully at the time it hit 4.37am on Sunday so there wasn't any loss of life.

On the news tonight over 100,000 homes have been damaged, power, water and sewerage & roading are the major concerns. It's just utter devastation we are seeing on tv and newspapers. Can you image your home being written off in one foul swoop.

Found this article today about how pets have been effected by this disaster, it's bad enough losing your pet in normal circumstance, but to have it happen now must be so heart wrenching.

Gosh Cynthia, we read about that earthquake, shocking to hear.

Thanks for the articles, and I do hope you and Monty
and Tess stay out of harms way.
