Honestly when I had mine done I think the worst thing was the worry of being there not knowing what to expect because I had a lump. They ended up doing the ultrasound first so once that was done I knew it was probably nothing and then the relief was so great I was thinking...bring on the mammogram so I can see what this is all about. So I was less nervous and I know that must help. But yeah it was Nothing. You just plop your boobie up on that thing and it flattens it down for a second and then lets go. It really did not even give me time to feel uncomfortable.

I know people can say whatever and you will still be nervous...but just know that once its over the whole scary thing will be forever gone and you will be master of the mammogram!!!

The worst part is taking your clothes off.... sigh

Thank you Ellen! I have it on my calendar so I don't forget about it (not that I think I could). My mom was rather happy I scheduled one...she called to check on ME last night since I have come down with something since the weekend. Just wanted to know if I was ok.

Isn't that just like a mom? The worst thing about a mammogram is thinking about it before it happens. It's over and then you wonder what you were worried about.

Hugs to your mom, Heather. Any more reports yet? I hope she is feeling more comfortable.

She told me she felt more "colorful" an only took Tylenol Tuesday and Wednesday so she is feeling better. Now to see what the biopsy results say. Will call tonight to see if we know anything yet.

Good for you Heather. You will feel so relieved when it's over. It's not as bad as some of the jokes you hear... You just keep thinking it only last seconds and think of all the women that routinely get these done. I am one. I will be looking for your posts.
