TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:

(1) They live here. You don't.
(2) If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture.
(3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
(4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and don't speak clearly.

AMEN.

Nothing irritates me more than these people. What turds.

My favorite thing about animals is they wish harm on no one, unlike our fellow humans. None of them are focused on hurting one another, being high on the social rank, being the smartest, or being the skinniest. They are only focused on love.

That's the way it is in my house - don't like pets, you can stay home! Once when our pastor and a deacon were visiting, the deacon stated he didn't like cats. My husband picked up the glass of lemonade I had just served the deacon and stated "I guess you have other calls to make, thanks for stopping by."

That is just perfect Linda. I wish I had that to put on my door at Christmas just gone. Ivan's mother and her husband were here for christmas eve and christmas day. They didn't stay here at night, were just here in the day. All she kept doing was making comments about the cats. Ivan is NOTHING like her by the way, he is like an honorary crazy cat lady!!

Her husband was nice to them and sat with them beside him no problem. My friend visited on christmas eve and was talking about her siamese cat whose picture I have in a frame on my bookshelf. So I got it down to show to them and all she could say was "That's a bald cat". Karen said "No, he's not bald, but his hair is very short. I am allergic to cats so it is better for me". The father in law then said "My wife is allergic to cats too" to which she replied " No Neil, I just don't like them!"

She rang here last week to see if we were going to visit them last weekend as Ivan's uncle was over from Ireland. I said that we couldn't come down as George was sick and in the hospital, and that we were visiting him. Well I could tell she was annoyed, but then she went and told her husband that we were not coming down because THE TURTLE was sick! Ivan spoke to him later and he was asking how ANDREW was, Ivan said she was fine, and Neil said that "your mum said she was sick". So Ivan sent him a picture of George saying "THIS ONE"! Neil then wrote a lovely email to us saying how sorry he was that George was sick, and that he was praying for him. I am going to send a thank you card today but just to Neil, and will leave her off it. She doesn't care one way or the other what happens to our cats.

She will not be visited, or asked to visit for a long time.....

HA HA! Should have not said anything huh? I kicked a guy I was dating out of my home in the middle of the night for kicking (yes literally) my dog out of my bed! Dagmar is still with me at 15.5 years old...at the time she was maybe 4...she slept on my pillow every night but this bothered Rich so I had her sleep at my feet. Well she did what all pets do when they are used to routine and tried to come back to my pillow but settled with laying between us and he shoved her to the foot of the bed (I said nothing as it was fair for him to have room to sleep)...but when she wouldn't lay down, he then kicked her off with his feet!!! I jumped up, grabed his things and told him he needed to leave....I think he thought I was kidding. I told him "Dagmar was here long before you and I am bettin' she will be here long after you're gone!" That was the last time I saw him.

When Kevin and I first met...my first words to him were, "I come with a kid and critters so if you can't handle it you better just move on!" Now we have been married almost 6 years and been together a total of almost 12 and I have a cattery and my dogs...to me it says alot about my hubby!

Yes, Heather, I couldn't have hooked up with someone who didn't like animals. It's funny when we first got married I was a total dog person and my husband liked cats best. Now it is reversed. I am not saying he doesn't like cats and I don't like dogs. Just that I like cats better than dogs (they are easier to care for) and he likes his dog because Fenway doesn't look at him like a piece of furniture like the cats do. I am a lucky lady - Bill, my husband is as nuts over the animals as I am.

I've always liked this

The wood plack(sp) hanging from my Porch light says "Spoiled ROTTEN Cats live here."

I just bought a plaque that says

"had to get rid of the kids, the cat was allergic"
