Hello everyone!
I'm thrilled to find this site and look forward to getting to know everyone.
Lilly showed up on our deck a couple months ago and she was so malnutritioned and sickly with a very messy face and coat that we didn't realize what she was.
She sat on that deck chair and was certainly not planning on leaving, so we ended up taking her inside, giving her a bath and taking her to the vet the next day. She's all healthy now, and spayed, and silly and has no interest in leaving the house. The vet guesses she's about 8 mnths old according to her teeth.

It's been since grade school since I've had a long hair cat (Himilayan), so I'm getting back in the groove of grooming. We had to shave a mat on her chest is all, and realize after talking to vet and reading cat sites, that the eye cleaning will simply be a daily routine, along with the combing. Luckily, she is soooo mellow and accomadating, although still getting used to being comfortable with being on our laps for attention. She'll sit on the arm of the chair for long times and loves the cool laundry room floor, and is daily more and more at home.

We're hoping the other two cats; an Egyptian Mau and another rescue cat will accept her soon and allow her to play and cuddle too. She does love our chihuahua and insists on pouncing on her and licking her, lol.

Sorry this is so long . . . just excited to share my joy with having Lilly here, and my hubby is starting to just nod when I go on about her adorable, silly expressions and antics. He definately is smitten as well though!

As soon as I figure out how to post a pic here, I'm hoping you folks can pin down for me exactly what color and type of Persian she may be. My pics are in my picture library and not sure how to use the Img icon to get them here, but will figure out soon.

If you upload your photos to a site like "Kodak Gallery" and then right click, properties, then highlight the website and paste witht the image button above, you should be able to post pics!
