Awwww no wonder, I have the Canon Rebel X something. The new one is a little Panasonic and I am not sold yet. I keep wanting to get my SLR out but I need to learn so I will keep trying.

Comparing above picture to one I just took
with my 6 year old Nikon Coolpix3700
I don't see a huge difference..but then I
suppose it's not a fair comparison as the lighting today
would not have been the same as when I took the other
pictures the other day..

That is a great picture too.

Everything I have taken so far has been indoors and at night, the little one has some great compensation features, I am sure I will do better once I learn. There were so many choices and of course everywhere you go to look the salesperson has their own opinion, I bought online after comparing, hope it doesn't turn out to be an expensive mistake

Sparky doesn't blink in the flash but Lani has very fast blink response

And it does take great indoor pictures.

My little Nikon takes great outdoor pictures, but
for some reason, the flash doesn't seem to go off when
I take pics inside, even if I use the "party" mode.

I'd really like to get a new, updated small one...I find the Canon a bit
cumbersome to take along every where.
At least with the little one, you can slip it into your purse
and always have a camera with you, just in case

compared to the others with a $1000 camera
