Hello everyone!! I'm so excited that I found this site. I rescued a Persian about 8 months ago and have been in love since. I did not know I could love something so much! Everyday, Louie will find a way to put a smile on my face and make me laugh. He loves laying out on the balcony in his own chair, loves playing in the bathtub, and has his own dinner table. He use to greet me when I come in from work, but now, when he hears me walk in the door, he goes straight to his dinner table. He doesn't waste any time.

. He is on a special diet because he does have PKD. Its devastating, but I try not to think about it. I take him to a vet that is extremely knowledgeable about PKD so I know he is always in good hands. He does not mind going to the groomers every 2 weeks to get his "Brazilian"; I think he just loves all the attention he gets from the staff. He is extremely spoiled, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Once I figure out how to post a picture of him, I will. I look forward to reading everyone's post and seeing all the cute pictures.

Aww...you have a beautiful Persian!! And, thank you so much! Can I ask how you got the picture as part of the signature? I can't figure out how to do that.

Welcome to you and Louie!!! I'm sorry to hear that he has PKD, but I'm thrilled you are not letting that stop you from loving him.

As for photos, they need to be hosted/uploaded to another site such as Photobucket. Then you copy and paste the IMG code into your posting here. For the signature photo, it must be small (90 pixels or less). Again you upload it to another site and then add the IMG code to your profile, in Memeber Control Panel.

Welcome Anna and Louie! I'm sure you'll love this
site, there is nothing like a Persian. Sorry to hear
of the PKD, however we did have a Persian live
to be 16 with this diagnosis and some meds., so
don't give up hope.

BTW, we too have a Lewy.
