Hello all!

My name is Eva, I am proud to say that I will soon become the owner of a gorgeous little Persian! She is still with her mommy right now, and I won't get her until the 21st, but I've been doing a lot of research to prepare myself for her arrival, and am so glad that there is an online community that's exclusively dedicated to these beautiful creatures!

I am very excited to be a member of this board, and look forward to learning abt the correct ways to take care of my new kitten, as well as finding answers to any existing or potential questions that I am sure I will have with properly raising her.

So, here is my first question. She looks like a colorpoint (I was told tortie), in fact, her dad is a blue point Himalayan, and her mom is a flame point Himalayan x munchkin. Both of her parents have blue eyes (like all Himalayans should), and through my research, it seems that all colorpoints should have blue eyes. Her eyes were definitely blue when I first saw her, but I just received some new pix from the cattery where her eyes do not look blue @ all... If the members of this board could maybe give me an idea as to what color her eyes would be when she's full grown, I'd really appreciate it! She's gorgeous regardless, but it's just contrary to what I've read abt colorpoints and blue eyes.

I am not a breeder , but most of the time Kittens are born with blue eyes and change as they grow older, some retain their blue eyes, it is hard to tell what color her eyes will be at this time,a breeder may be able to help you. At this time she does not look like a tortie to me, but that also can change as she gets older. She is beautiful.. welcome Pat

All Himmies will have intense blue eyes as babies. As Himmie kittens grow, some have better eye color than others. Your kitten does have blue eyes, they are just very light in color at this time. Her adult eye color may or may not intensify as she matures. As for her coloring, she is a blue-cream point, which is the dilute version of a tortie point.

Welcome! My Sasha is a torti-point himmie and another member, Zolaberry, has a beautiful torti-point girl named Willow. Sasha's eyes are not the vibrant blue they were as a kitten, but they are definitely blue! Welcome to the site - this is a wonderful place.
