Tomorrow is my monthly big shopping day and I try to get as much done in town so I don't have to go back in very often for the rest of the month. It usually lasts for hours. I hate it! But usually I know exactly what I need and try to get in and out of the stores as fast as I can. It's a half hour drive just to get to springfield and another half hour back! And then of course these places i'm going to are scattered all over town.

Tomorrow I want to go to Michaels to get the new pink ATG -glue gun, so I can get going again on my scrapbooking. So glad I have coupon!

Then Hobby Lobby
then out to Joanns to see what they have
Have to go renew my license plates
Walmart for kitty litter
and the grocery store.

I found this really neat scrapbooking forum and everyone is really nice and so I'm trying to get my scrapbook mojo back and get to scrapbooking again but after these last 4 years of not doing it i'm finding i'm behind in the new stuff! lol But I have thankfully found that with all the scrapbooking stuff that I do have that there really isn't much that I do want. Trying to be a good girl cause I could really go nuts in a craft store! A couple weeks ago I went to Hobby Lobby and Michaels and was so proud of my self that I only spent $1 dollar!

It's gonna be a long day tomorrow!

I just try to get it all done at once! How about you?

Do you like shopping or hate it?

What is your guilty pleasure that you always want to go buy or look at when you go shopping?

Since I bought the Dooney I it seems that my purse craving will be fine for another few years so no more cravings for that just the scrapbooking!

Ugh just remembered school supplies too that I need for Matthew!

lol

Cindy!

I have mixed ideas on shopping.

I LOVE to spend money and buy things.

I HATE wandering around "shopping".

I am what my husband calls a "spendthrift". I am really ADHD and my interests change rapidly. Like for instance I was really into this needle point my sister gave me right after I first lost my job where I would work on it all day while he was at work...and have a hard time putting it down...and then one day I just lost interest...SO close to finishing. Have not picked it up since. So he is really watchful of me on what I buy...he has let me spend a lot of money on camera gear but I buy that all online. I love to go shopping for Yankee candles. 4 times a year at the change of each season I get a few new flavors. I ABSOLUTELY love Christmas shopping.

I guess the thing is I like to do it but I usually plan it out so I know what I want...I go right to where it is and the price is best...and I buy it. I don't typically enjoy wandering around window shopping at all.

I tried to get in to scrapbooking once because my sister bought me some stuff for my wedding shower. I did a few pages but its weird...its like I am really into photography but I like to print and frame my pictures...I did not so much enjoy cutting them up...although I saw it as sort of a grown up excuse to play with stickers and I got really excited today when I was at Michaels and saw that they redid the store and like 50% of it is all scrapbooking...I told JOhn I WISH I could get into this. Maybe when we have kids...that seems like a good excuse to do a scrapbook.

I was there trying to find a puzzle caddy. I have one with persian cats on it I want to do but I have come to realize that there is noplace in this house I can put a puzzle where Gordon and Nannerpuss won't destroy it...so I have to have a place to store it. No luck there though. Sigh.

Thats my least favorite thing when I want something and cant find it in a store. I hate online shopping because it takes away the fun of going to the store to get it and adds the hassle of whether it will get there ok and on time. I am not very patient!!!

Hey Jen...maybe you'd like digital scrapbooking. I hate sitting and cutting things up too, but the digital is pretty cool.

I have never even heard of digital scrapbooking. To me the allure of it is the stickers. LOL. There is no point to try and start a new hobby now anyways since school starts August 23 and between that and football I will be so busy!!!!!!

Get a big peice of felt and try and find a thick piece of card board tube. Size wise i'd say like the next size bigger than your average can of soup. And then a few pieces of string or ribbon to tie it up. And there you'd have your own caddy! I have one just like it that my mom had bought me like 15 years ago and that's basically all that it is. Just check the size of the puzzle to know how much materials you need. Mine is made of felt and works great.

lol

The store had one of those. I am looking for one of the ones that is big and flat and folds up like a giant briefcase. I could try the other kind though....

CINDY that's not shopping that is WORK, or maybe torture  Shopping is when you go look at all the pretty clothes, furniture, decorations etc. Then you drool, try to figure out how to buy it, decide you can't then do it anyway ;) My Mom was a shopaholic, when she died she had bags of stuff still in the bags with the reciept and never used  Of course it was years old so we couldn't take it back. I have decided I am adopted, I hate shopping........until lately, since the Oregon trip two months ago I can't seem to stop and I have bought cool clothes and stuff. I told Jim my Mom got bored in heaven and I have been possessed  :? He said well when you run out of money stop :? ..........uhhhhh, but that happened a long time ago

I love to shop, but only for things I don't need. ;)

Groceries, kitty supplies, etc. - that's not shopping, that's what I call doing the weekly chores :!:

My husband loves to grocery shop. He pays attention to the sales and its cool we enjoy going and seeing how much we can save. Usually between 30-40% using sales and coupons!!! Its great but the drawback is he wants to go to the grocery store ALL the time. I think we go to Giant and Safeway both at least once a week. LOL. We have so much food in the house its crazy. I started telling him...just because its a good sale does not mean we NEED it. He just loves his sales. i can't think of any other shopping he likes to do though...I take him with me xmas shopping and we go to the mall in Sterling Virginia near where I used to live because its so much nicer to shop there than here. Its a nice little trip we take every winter.

My least favorite thing to do is go clothes shopping with other people. I wear plus sizes and really am mostly a t shirt and jeans girl anyways so I go to lane bryant or old navy...twice a year or so I buy some 5 dollar t shirts at Old Navy and if I have a nice thing to go to I may buy a new button down shirt at LB. So really,,,,if anybody ever tries to drag me to the mall to look at clothes it is the most awful, boring, pointless thing for me to be involved in and I won't do it. I have a friend who can't drive...bad eyesight...and she has a bad habit of inviting me to hang out with her and then treating me like a taxi...and she has learned over the years...she works at the mall and if she wants to buy clothes there...do it on her lunch break because I won't EVER take her there. HAHAHAH
