Welp, we are back from the vet. Puffy's eye pressures were normal to high, this is amazing news because they were off the chart last time!! AND her titers were totally FIP negative, and all her bloodwork was good. The vet told me to continue giving her the Neo-Poly-Dex per the ophthalmologist... Uhhh I didn't know I was still supposed to be giving them. I'm not sure if I will continue because I think they could have caused the pressure to begin with. If she does have uveitis then it will help clear it up though. Opinions are appreciated. She was such a good girl and they gave her a "brazilian wax" for me (they called it a potty patch) they shaved just around her butt for me. It was magical. I hate cutting out dingles. I, of course, have a cold sore. I knew it was bound to happen from the overload of stress. But I will take cold sores and healthy babies ANY day. I picked up a couple of different wet foods for Chunkers to try since his I/D is done. I gave him a tiny bit of BG Chicken tonight. We'll see how he does. ALSO, the babies got a new fountain. I picked one up while I was out with Puffy. She waited in the car, she is so funny; she loves the car on the way HOME. I would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. I consider you all wonderful friends and I promise to talk about myself less as the year progresses

That is good news and it is about time. Hooray Uveitis is a very serious disease so she needs something. It occurs deep in the eye and can be very serious, so she needs to be treated for it . I would presume they are using the neo poly dex to reduce swelling, I don't think it is what caused the problem, I think Puffy had an eye infection and it just went deep. Maybe you could voice your concerns about the steroids and see if she would be ok with just a strong antibiotic. She does need antibiotics and the swelling controlled . Did you get an appt. with the eye doc.? Puffy does not have an ulcer, and the only other issue would be if she had herpes, the dex does a good job on inflammation. My vets cat had that and she is working with the same homeopathic vet I am using. The eye clinic wanted to use large doses of steroids, which my vet was against. They treated it homeopathic instead and it healed perfectly in a few days. But it was a very intense few days, on the phone several times a day. It was very impressive. Keep up the good work and for now I would follow orders, but send an email or call and tell her your concerns.

Dianne - Thanks for the info. I'm going to start the neo-poly-dex tomorrow. She looks SO much better. It definitely will need managed. We are checking again next week, then a month, then probably two months, etc... This will be a life long thing. which I'm fine with. Puffy didn't mind the shave at all! You can't even tell. The vet tech was taking her temp and was like "Her butt is a little dirty"... I was So embarrassed because I keep these cats really clean and am so anal about their eyes and butts. She offered to give a "potty patch" and I was thrilled. She said Puffy just stood there, Puffy is so kind with everyone though. She never hisses or growls, or hides. She's such a good girl, that's why we did the hospice. They cut her nails last time for me for free too, it was so great. It's such a struggle for me to do. PPP has an eye specialist appointment in less than two weeks, but it was nice having the vet call them and get a free consult. And GAH you guys... I have been so obnoxious lately talking about myself, I guess I just need to vent! I can't go to therapy because my insurance hasn't kicked in yet! So you guys and PPP and Chunk are my therapy.

So pleased to read about the latest vet visit it must be reassuring for you, glad that you have a specialist to see for her as well. Just glad the pressure is going down in your little corner of the universe. I've had a rough day with Monty today, just one thing after another, but he still loves me that I'm sure.

Ever tried to hold a thermometer in the butt of a wild cat, screaming, clawing, jumping off the counter I would hate to see what would happen if I took the clippers to their nether regions

Sounds like good news overall to me! I can't advise on the health issues though. Discussing your concerns with your vet is certainly a good idea.
