Linda, just a thought would be be any good trying to add some Glucosamine powder into Clarissa's diet just to see if it would help. :?: :?:
Maybe there might be a little stiffness in her joint, is she limping when she jumps down from being up high like in the kitchen photo

Wrong cat! Wendy is the high climber, Clarissa is too short even to get to the counter. (I don't know why others can't keep track of all my kitties. ;) :lol: )

The glucosamine might be a good idea, but I don't think it's arthritis. The calici seems to fit best.

The Calici seems to fit. Thanks guys for the link and idea. She's had a minor cold which went away while she was on clavamox and no limping. The cold came back slightly once she was off the clavamox and then the limping began. And it is on both rear legs -- never seen it on the front, yet.

I have a call into my vet and I'll see what she says.

Okay, I talked to my vet and while she's not heard of limping related to calici, she will go along with it since it really fits all of Clarissa's symptoms. She doesn't want to give her clavamox, though, since she just got off, so -- the scary part -- she wants me to take Clarissa's temperature.

<GULP>

This is the 4 lb kitten that took both of us to hold her and we both got multiple wounds from it. I'm suppose to take her temperature??? :shock: I do have death and dismemberment insurance....

Anyway, if she's got a temp, she gets clavamox. If not, we wait.

Admittedly, she's a lot hungrier today. Hubby said she about climbed his leg wanting more food. This is the first time she's ever done that or even acted very hungry, so this is good.

MY immediate thought was her claws as phoenix does this when the are pointy and bad mum forgets to cut them. When done all is fine. Fingers crossed that's all it is. It's certainly is hard with a multi cat household always on your toes.
Sending good vibes
