It's been 4 months since we rescued Mr.Kitty from the Norco Animal Shelter

I'm so glad people are rescuing adult cats from shelters. You did a great thing saving your pretty baby. I think most people believe that if you want a Persian you have to buy one from a breeder, but you can find great Persian cats at animal shelters all over the place.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with a 'shelter' Persian. Actually, I was one of those people who didn't think one could find a purebred Persian at an animal shelter -- maybe a rescue group, but not a public animal shelter. Afterall, who would 'dump' a Persian, especially in a high-kill shelter?!

It still stuns me.
As for adopting adult cats, I think more people are beginning to understand that adults can become as devoted to their owners as kittens can. It takes a bit more time, but then so what? Isabel has taken, oh, 2 months, and now trots over to me every morning to get a good morning scratching.
BTW, HRH Isabel saw Mr. Kitty's crown and is thinking tiara, preferablly with sparkly things.
