Well I am back and I took an extra day off at home. So lets see, it was nice and relaxing, however, I felt alittle lonely and sad at times. I was stupid though, I should've called my mom to ask her where more places were as I really dont know my way around the neighborhood (Cape May, NJ), I found out last night there was a big strip of stores I couldve went to in nice setting. So I went Thursday afternoon, Jasee was quiet in the car but wouldn't come out of his carrier which I left open. Dont you know when we got there it began to pour! I was soaked bringing the things in the house. So Jase sat in the carrier for about 1/2 hour but then came out but crawled into a corner next to the couch and a table and wouldn't come out until about midnight that night! He then got more comfortable, looking out the sliding glass door and all. He did sleep under the bed alot but would venture out. The last few nights he started sleeping on the couch and would go under the bed during his daytime nap. I have a pic of him below when he finally settled in and was stretched out on the kitchen floor. Also check out his video on the other page of him being caught drinking from the toilet!

So basically I went to the beach and listen what happened the first day, I was so mad! I was sitting there minding my business laying out when you heard a loud bang right behind me, sounded like a firecracker, everyone turned and looked at me. I was looking around and right before this the seagulls flew and a bunch of kids ran by. When I looked behind my chair, these darn kids threw a bomb bag behind my chair, it just pops and sounds like a firecracker went off! I was so mad! It was cloudy that day and that just ticked me off so I left the beach. Saturday was nice on the beach though. Sunday I didn't do much, the sun was in and out. Just watched some TV and I did cry some too. Jasee was company but was confused of where he was so he wasn't quite himself.

So the few things that went wrong. One I hope doesn't follow us but I think it may have. I took a shower and later I looked in the tub and saw these little specs, I thought what the heck is this?? I stick my finger in and here it was fleas!!! All in the tub! I grabbed the lysol and comet and cleaned the whole tub and poured it down the drain. I put the stopper in the tub and later I saw them again, I pulled the stopper out and they were all on the inside of the stopper. They mustve been coming up from the drain!! Now I dont know if any were in the house as far as the other rooms or in the carpet and now of course I am worried about Jasee having them! He is scratching a bit but I can't tell if its anymore then normal. I hate to put flea stuff on him, I am so weary of that stuff with his tremor problem though I have put a half a tube of Revolution on him in the past, I checked and I still have some so if I have to use it I will. I can't believe it! I told my mom and she said maybe they are sand fleas? Are they the same as regular flears? Will they get on Jasee?

Next thing, Jase was good the way there and at the house with using his litterbox. On the way home which was Sunday night I put his box on the floor behind the passenger seat. He came out of his carrier this time and was sitting on the seat behind me. I saw him step into his box and then when he got out he was sitting on the seat again. When I got home I saw that though he stepped in his box, he had peed on a duffel bag that was behind my seat rather then peeing in his box. This is not like Jasee, he has never ever not peed in his box. I wonder if he didn't realize his box was there and peed first then saw it and got in to examine or if he just didn't go in his box on purpose? Maybe he was confused or upset? When we got home he was fine and has gone in his box ever since we have been home. I'm not sure what happened. I was saying to myself when I saw him go in the box, what a good boy, lol, then I saw the bag! Any ideas what might have happened??

So in all it was relaxing, I am still sad but it was some time away to think at the very least.

Throwing firecracker bombs at the beach? That is pathetic! Sounds like Jasee did pretty well, all in all. I wouldn't be too concerned about his litter box mistake. Cats are creatures of habit and moving around that much in several days probably just threw him off. I'm sure he is back to his old perfect self now.

I'm glad you got some down time for yourself, Karyn, even if it wasn't ideal. It sounds like a relaxing few days and you needed that!
